BY CAR
FROM MANAGUA:
Take the Pan-American Highway south to the city of Rivas' traffic circle (Rivas is 114 km from Managua, and takes about two hours by car). At the traffic circle, turn left toward the port at San Jorge (about a five-minute drive from the traffic circle). Ferries and motorboats leave approximately every hour for Moyogalpa, and the trip takes about an hour. From Moyogalpa, you can take a bus or taxi to the hotel (approximately 45 minutes).
BY BUS
MANAGUA - RIVAS - OMETEPE:
Take a bus from Managua to Jinotepe. Then take a bus from Jinotepe to Rivas. In Rivas, take a taxi to the port of San Jorge. Take the ferry or motorboat to Moyogalpa, and from Moyogalpa take a bus or taxi to the hotel. This trip will take you approximately 5 hours.
MANAGUA - GRANADA - OMETEPE:
(Mondays & Thursdays only)
Take a bus from Managaua to Granada. There is a boat that departs from Granada to the port of Altagracia, Ometepe on Mondays and Thursdays only. It leaves at 2:00 pm and takes about 4 hours from port to port. From Altagracia, take a bus or taxi to the hotel (approximately 30 minutes).
SAN CARLOS - OMETEPE:
In San Carlos, take the ferry to the port of Altagracia in Ometepe. The boat trip is approximately 8 hours long and arrives in Altagracia at about midnight. We recommend that you reserve a taxi from the hotel to pick you up and take you safely to your destination.
